Anyway, it was a long sad week. My son’s father-in-law succumbed to his cancer, which was hard on the whole family… expected does not make it any easier to cope with. Also the anniversary of Jeffery’s death, Tom’s death, and David’s birthday. Poor guy, his birthday is now bracketed by two deaths.
Because of all of this, I spent the weekend cloistered away in my studio (and you know how happy that makes me).Not much finished work to show, but I did make my first foray into doll making, getting ready for next year’s Womyn’s Work project. Ginger, this is certainly not as easy as you make it appear… I am not sure why their heads are so square, but I can work on that. I also cut fabric strips, worked on a snugglie quilt, and cleaned off my cutting table looking for my 6″ square ruler (which I did not find…).

And of course there was the Walking Dead mid season marathon (I had not seen any of season 4). I watched some on Saturday and then all day on Sunday (from noon to 10 PM). I think that I have had my fill of Zombies, but I did notice that they used a LOT of quilts and tops as decorations in the prison as personal decoration! Probably only a quilter would have noticed! Don’t think that the cats were too scared of the zombies… Nothing like being surrounded by love.
